Knuckle Up Featured MMA Fighter

Dan Root

Before training in MMA, Dan wrestled collegiately for Niagara County Community College where he was a two time NJCAA qualifier and then transferred to SUNY Cortland, where he then qualified for the NCAA Division III tournament.

Dan Currently resides in Abingdon, MD and trains with Renzo Gracie Black Belt, John Rallo and Muay Thai Coach, Henry Smith at Ground Control Baltimore.

Standing at 5‘9” and fighting at 190 lbs., he holds a 3-3 amateur record and a 4-2 pro record. Dan won his last fight at Shogun V via submission 3 minutes into the third round. As a BJJ purple belt and a three time NAGA winner at the 200lb Division and Grapplers Quest Absolute Division winner, Dan continues to dominate with his ground work and works diligently on his Muay Thai to improve his stand up game.
